Did you know?

MSC Grandiosa is navigated by famous artists. Instead of boring deck numbers, she uses legendary painter names – from Picasso on Deck 4 up to Degas on Deck 19. Smart cruisers quickly learn that Michelangelo (Deck 7) is where the speciality restaurants live, while Cézanne (Deck 15) houses the main buffet.

MSC Grandiosa features an 82-metre suspension bridge called the Himalayan Bridge on her top deck. This isn’t just for show – it’s a genuine rope course experience that lets you walk across the ship at sea level +75 metres. Definitely not one for those afraid of heights, but the views are spectacular.

MSC Grandiosa was the pioneer that proved bigger could be better. As the first Meraviglia-Plus class ship launching in 2019, she stretched the successful Meraviglia design by 16 metres and added nearly 1,000 extra guests, creating the template that MSC Virtuosa would later follow. Her 181,541 gross tonnes make her one of the largest ships to regularly call ports.

MSC Grandiosa Cabin FAQ

Bella is an MSC Experience type and not an actual physical cabin. They are a Guaranteed grade, i.e. Bella Balcony means the MSC computer will automatically assign you any of the Fantastica balconies across the entire ship.

Great question! There isn’t a Deck 17, as seventeen in Italian culture is considered unlucky!

If you view 17 as a Roman numeral (XVII), it is changed anagrammatically to VIXI, which in Latin translates to “I have lived” or “My life is over”. So you won’t find a Deck 17 on any MSC cruise ship!

There are a total of 2,421 cabins on the ship.

20 different types and 3 ‘Bella’ types, which cover Interior, Ocean View and Balcony

There are a total of 38 cabins that can sleep six comfortably. These are split between 14 x Premium Ocean View (OL2) and 24 x Premium Aurea Suite (SL1) cabin types.

There are a total of 58 Accessible cabins on the ship. They are priced the same as other cabins in the same grades.

There are 103 Suites. 15 of these suites are Interiors.

You can track the ship in real time on our dedicated MSC Grandiosa tracking page.
