Did you know?

MSC Bellissima’s name means “Most Beautiful” in Italian – the superlative form of “bella” (beautiful). It’s MSC saying “this ship is absolutely gorgeous” right in the name. Classic Italian confidence!

Bellissima was one of the first MSC ships that could accommodate families of 5 or 6 in a single cabin! The OL2 (Premium Ocean View) and SL1 (Premium Suite Aurea) categories offer 5th and 6th beds – proper game-changers for larger families who don’t want to book two cabins. You’ll find these unicorn cabins on decks 9-14.

Bellissima is the only ship where you can say ‘Meet me on Meraviglia’ and mean Deck 8, not another ship entirely. Every deck is named after an MSC ship – it’s like a floating family reunion!

There are a total of 55 Accessible cabins on the ship. They are priced the same as other cabins in the same grades.

Bella is an MSC Experience type and not an actual physical cabin. They are a Guaranteed grade, i.e. Bella Balcony means the MSC computer will automatically assign you any of the Fantastica balconies across the entire ship.

Great question! There isn’t a Deck 17, as seventeen in Italian culture is considered unlucky!

If you view 17 as a Roman numeral (XVII), it is changed anagrammatically to VIXI, which in Latin translates to “I have lived” or “My life is over”. So you won’t find a Deck 17 on any MSC cruise ship!

There are a total of 2,217 cabins on the ship.

There are 38 cabins that can sleep more than four people on MSC Bellissima!

24 Suite Aurea SL1 suites that allow 6 people per suite and 14 Fantastica Premium Ocean View OL2 cabins that allow 6 people per cabin.

20 different types and three ‘Bella’ types which cover Interior, Ocean View and Balcony.

There are 103 Suites, including 15 YC Interior suites and 1 YC Deluxe Accessible suite.
